Official visit to California by a delegation from Santa Fe Province, Argentina, led by the Honorable Roberto Miguel Lifschitz, Governor of Santa Fe Province.  The purpose of their visit was to learn more about California’s government, goods movement infrastructure, high technology industries, trade and investment, and to continue the development of potential cooperative projects between California and Argentina.  This visit was part of an exchange agreement established in 2005 between the Senate and the Fundación Nueva Generación Argentina. Official visit to California by a delegation of parliament members and business leaders from Azerbaijan.  The purpose of their visit was to continue an exchange between their parliament and the California Senate, further ties and strengthen goodwill between our regions.  [2013]

Official visit to California by a delegation of parliament members visiting from the Kurdistan region of Iraq.  The purpose of their visit was to research and examine legislative processes as they relate to State government, explore the many different levels of staff, and gain a better understanding of the various participants that are involved in the legislative process.  [2013]

Official visit to California by the Honorable Francis Maude, Minister of the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General, his staff and consular officials from the United Kingdom. The purpose of Minister Maude’s visit was to research government efficiency savings and budget balancing in tough economic times.  The Minister, responsible for all the UK government’s finances and government efficiency, learned about California’s experience in this area and shared the UK’s experience in reducing its own deficit. The Cabinet Office is responsible for helping to ensure effective development, coordination and implementation of policy and operations across all government departments.  [2012]

Official visit to California by a delegation of members from the Vietnam National Assembly led by the Honorable Vice President Huynh Ngoc Son, and accompanied by multiple government and consular officials. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the ties between the State of California and Vietnam. [2011]

The purpose of their visit was to partake in a cross-cultural exchange, learn more about leadership roles of women in California and share their experiences of life in their home countries. [2010]

The purpose of his visit was to discuss the creation of a sustainable transportation system, with regards to environmental safeguards and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Official visit to California by a delegation of  members from the Regional Government of Umbria, Italy, led by the Honorable Mauro Tippolotti, President of the Regional Legislature.  The purpose of their visit was to learn more about issues related to state administration, university exchange, high technologies and nanotechnologies, health care and tourism promotion.  This visit was part of an exchange agreement established in 1998 between the California Senate and the Regional Government of Umbria.  [2007]

The purpose of the visit was to learn more about policies related to energy and environment, women's issues, security issues and the fight against terrorism, as well as trade and other bilateral relations.
